HX Expeditions’ own Navigator Whisky is a single cask whisky, distilled on Islay in the Scottish Isles, where it was matured for seven years before being placed on MS Spitsbergen to become the world’s first single malt to endure a pole-to-pole journey in the barrel, covering 56,314 nautical miles at sea in the process. I was asked to travel to Islay to document the bottling of the cask and capture product photography for media as well as footage for the HX Expedition team to use.
